HI. its april already oO nothing to do on a sunday night, hence blogging! nothing much has happened since i last blogged (long time ago if my memory serves me). life has been too mundane :( even in camp we've been doing the same crap day in day out and day in again. haha :) 7+ more months to ord only thoughhhh.

soccer makes me happy. but tiring though. hope i dont fall asleep before the liverpool match hehe. okay gotta go and do something more meaningful before i melt into a gooey puddle at my desk. snort.

just returned from phuket! went with yufeng henry mingyeung liye wencong. haha was damn fun but quite tiring oO going to crash now, will update with some pics when the rest upload cause we took CRAPLOADS of pictures :D

I remember quite clearly, the last time liverpool played reading, we lost 3-1. I remember so clearly because it was december 8th 07 pretty late at night, and i was at the airport waiting to board the flight to siem reap.

Then a few days into the trip, uncle jason told me liverpool won 4-1 at marseille. And i remember scrambling to the computer at the internet shop during weekend r&r to watch the highlights, and wondering to myself how on earth torres scored the goal he did. The rest were further inside the shop, having a massage.

I also remember a few days later, we lost to united 1-0. I remember i was sitting all alone in the bblc field under the stars with the bblc radio, tuned in to bbc world. And i was pretty damn devastated.

I did not make any sort of effort to commit these to memory, yet some part of me just made sure that these would stay with me. Looking back, i think i know why. Each event was significant in it's own small little way (which i shall decline to elaborate), and there were little things that happened along with the aforementioned events. And sadly, these little things, which i didn't think would matter, ultimately did.

2009 is drawing to a close.

it has by far been one of the fastest years i've experienced. i guess it's cause my life has been super routine since enlistment. a year ago i was dreading the remaining 23 months i had yet to deal with, but now i've got only 11 months left. TOTALLY DOESN'T feel like 12 months has passed.

i remember this time last year, when j2 ended, i was so worried about losing friends. man was i proven wrong hahahah. if anything my friendships with people have improved over the past year :) it's like every single weekend will be spent with friends (soccer, bridge, classmates etcetc) :) i'm really really really x100 thankful for all you human beings who've been there for me in 2009 :) IT'S GREAT TO HAVE AWESOME FRIENDS.

i've been quite content with my life this year i guess. most things have gone my way, some haven't but oh well can't be helped. and there have been very memorable events that happened to me this year (my awesome surprise birthday party among others :D) there's really not much else i can hope/wish for haha. i sincerely hope that this time next year, i'll be able to post another positive review for the year 2010 :)

OMG. I was so busy celebrating i forgot to blog about yesterday!

It was just surreal. When torres swung his right boot and the net bulged i went hysterical (even more than the 4-1 win). And when ngog slid the ball past van der sar so calmly, i celebrated a la cantona (like he did when he scored that wonderful chip many many years ago).

The entire team played brilliantly. Especially lucas and carra. I salute lucas who made his critics eat their words with a magnificent performance that highlighted everything benitez saw in him which no one else did. And carra past his prime? Judging by his performance yesterday, not a chance xD

Special mention too to aurelio and masch. I really think aurelio should take our set pieces regularly (his freekicks corners are dangerous, and what about that amazing 50 yard pass to benayoun). And mascherano stepped up to be counted when it mattered most. He made sure every loose ball was cleaned up nicely and it was a shame he had to go off. At least he managed a smile.

And what can you say about torres? There aren't enough superlatives haha.

The trip home was quite amusing too. When i boarded 105, which had a large group of fans (about 10 man u fans, and 1 lonely liverpool guy), and the liverpool fan started to clap and cheer while his man u buddies started to swear hahaha.

All in all, it was a great night to be a liverpool fan (:
